Abu Simbel is our last major stop on our tour. It is a massive temple complex and perhaps the most outstanding piece of Egyptian architecture, rivaling even the pyramids at Giza. The temples are carved out of solid rock, and large series of chambers are inside, with scenes of the life of RamesesII and his queen Nefertari.
