The temple of Hathor, at Dendara, is typical of Greco-Roman influence on architecture. But the ancient Egyptian deities were revered even in these times, and this temple was devoted to the goddess Hathor, consort of Horus. This building is part of a large complex of structures. Priests lived here, conducting religious rites for the people.
